Legacy Residential Group is committed to giving back to our community through partnerships with not-for-profit foundations that support programs created to those in need. As a company, we find value in the importance of giving back to the community to help those that have been negatively impacted by the problems they face on a daily basis. It is our mission to help others through charitable donations to lead a meaningful and purposeful life.
St. Jude
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Susan G. Komen
Susan G. Komen’s mission is pretty simple: to save lives and end breast cancer forever. How they do it? Well, that’s a bit more complex. They educate, support research, offer grants that provide financial and emotional assistance and advocate for better breast cancer policy. But in a broader sense, they empower others, ensure quality care for all, and invest in science to find the cures.
Make a Wish
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a 501 nonprofit organization that helps fulfill wishes of children with a critical illnesses between the age of 2 ½ to 18 years old. Legacy Residential Group participates in their annual Wings For Wishes event combining the love of delicious chicken wings with the desire to grant children’s wishes through Make-A-Wish Southern Florida.
Toys For Tots
Toys for Tots began in 1947 as the brainchild of Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks. His wife had a few handcrafted dolls and asked Bill to deliver them to an agency that supports children in need. The foundation raises funds, purchases toys, provides promotional and support materials, manages all funds raised and donated, solicits corporate support, educates the public, and handles day-to-day operations. Currently, they Marine Toys for Tots program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million less fortunate children annually.
Miami Rescue Mission
The Miami Rescue Mission has served the homeless and needy since 1922 with the goal to transform the lives of homeless men, women, and children through comprehensive residential programs to effect lasting change and empower them to be productive members of society. Legacy Residential Group is proud to partner with them annually for their Pack The Pantry event which provides over 250,000 Thanksgiving meals each Fall.
The Woody Foundation
The Woody Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization formed in 2011 to raise funds for people with paralysis. The namesake of The Foundation, James “Woody” Beckham suffered his spinal cord injury making a rugby tackle in January 2011. His family and friends have bonded together to support Woody by making donations to local charities which help others with paralysis.
LOVE
Following the disaster from Hurricane Dorian, and the devastating aftermath it left in the Bahamas, Legacy Residential Group, then CFH Group found a way to help our Bahamian neighbors in an effort to assist them through their rebuilding process. #BoxesofLove which contained a week’s worth of water, toiletries and food for one person were shipped to the island to help those on the ground who were hit the hardest. Through an overwhelming support from the community and collaborative efforts consisting of monetary donations, supplies and volunteers, over 14 Shipping Containers, 26 Plane Loads, 58 People Rescued, 3,570 Boxes of Love, 225,000+ lbs of supplies, and countless LOVE poured into the Bahamas! It was a true labor of #LOVE.
